Hosted several times a season at New York City venues, New Works readings provide poetry lovers with the opportunity to hear emerging and established poets from around the country read from their recently published collections. Typically featuring three authors per evening, recent events have showcased Willie Perdomo, Dawn Lundy Martin, Bettina Judd, Kwame Dawes, Jonathan Moody, Kamilah Aisha Moon, Venus Thrash, Frank X Walker and many more.


New Works Sponsors: The Brooklyn Museum, Bryant Park’s Word for Word Series, the Graduate Creative Writing Program at The New School, the Graduate Creative Writing Program at New York University, and CUNY/Queens College.

New Works Funders: National Endowment for the Arts; Public Funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in Partnership with the City Council; New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew M.
