Biography

 

Myron Michael is a recording artist, writing teacher, and producer at Move or Die. His poetry appears online at Harvard Review, Outside in Literary and Travel Magazine, Pine Hills Review, Step Away Magazine, Rivet, and The Account; and in print in Toad Suck Review, Temenos, Fourteen Hills, Eleven Eleven, and Spillway. He received an MFA from California College of the Arts and taught poetry throughout the Bay Area as a teaching-artist fellow for WritersCorps, San Francisco. He collaborated with Broadside Attractions | Vanquished Terrains, for the installation Vertical horizon (2012) and Microclimate Collective for the exhibitions Eidolon (2010), Perfect Place/No place: Re-imagining Utopia (2011), and X Libris (2012). He was nominated for a pushcart and Best of the Net award for 2015, is the author of a chapbook Scatter Plot, and co-author of Hang Man (Move Or Die, 2010). He travels back and forth between Grand Rapids, Michigan and the Bay Area, California to curate Move or Die, poetry collaborations and HELIOTROPE, a monthly reading series.
